Where can I get information about teaching English in Germany?

The site "English Teachers in Germany" has a FAQ page with a lot of useful information to get you started on your quest for information.

Jessica Wiesner: I am keen to become an English (as a foreign language)teacher in Berlin. I am looking to enrol on a training course in London next year. Could you suggest which is the most respected official qualification, is TEFL good? Your help would be much appreciated!
Monica Hosken: CELTA is probably the most widely recognised and respected.

Mathias Gellrich: Hi Ed and eltabbers, A Happy New Year to all of you. How do we log in to the website in order to change personal information and so on? Cheers... Mathias Gellrich
Edward: I'm currently working on the next version of the site which will allow members to log in and edit their information. This information will be available in a special members section for visitors to search and browse.
Joanne Birnbaum: Ich wohne in Baden-Württemberg und möchte eine Qualifikation in Teaching English bekommen. Wo kann ich das machen?
Tim Jones: Dear Joanne Text-book writer Felicity O'Dell, Rosalie Kerr and I have set up a website whose aim is to let ELT professionals contact each other easily. The focus of the site is a searchable members’ database which allows users to search for other users by name, special interest, nationality and so on. Other facilities include a message board, an easy professional CV maker and access to resources such as job vacancies. Membership is free, access to all the facilities on the site is free and anyone of any age working in or training to work in ELT is eligible to join. The site is completely independent of any publisher, school or exam board and we hope it will grow into a useful forum which will enable faster communication and open debate in the world of English Language Teaching. I would be very grateful if you would visit the site at www.eltlinkup.org and forward this email to anyone you know who may be interested. Kind regards Tim Jones
Simone Neumann: It depends where you want to do it. The fastest way is to google. Simply type in "CELTA + Stuttgart" or any other city and see for yourself what comes up.
